Me off the top of my head: blue eyes, curly hair to die for (so i’ve heard it said), Love the Lord tons, my family is the best, my cats – just love ‘em, salty over sweet, dresses not shorts – but i’d live in yoga pants if that wasn’t lame, yoga could be a new favorite, music is a must at most times, taco soup – yummy!, tv before bed, love to create, spring is the best time of year, my middle name is mckibbon and I love it…
Now for the deeper me: You know that souza quote, “Happiness is a journey not a destination”? That’s what it’s all about. Enjoying the journey and not getting all stressed and tense about life. I’ve done the whole worrying about who I am and if I’ll make it and will people like me thing. believe me – It’s over rated. sure I have dreams that haven’t been fulfilled and like everyone else I have questions, doubts, and fears but I’ve decided life is too short to worry it away so i’m gonna have fun. life is pretty awesome and I’m blessed to be here so why not enjoy every moment and be filled with anticipation and expectation for what is around the corner.
I’ve always taken that same approach with my photography. of course when I started in 2003 i had a lot to learn about the technical side of the art. Now that I know what I’m doing I have so much fun capturing the beauty around me. I believe that the photographs ‘that take our breath away’ are the ones where we see a glimpse into a persons soul. I feel that happens when that person can just be themselves and enjoy the ride. I’d much rather go have fun and play and heck, while we’re at it, get some pretty rockin’ pictures too. When I’ve got my camera in my hand it’s not a sign of me being at work, it’s a part of the happiness along my journey called life. So through all of this i’ve come to be completely thankful that I get to wake up every day knowing that i get to do what I love – that I get to focus a frame, click the shutter and give you a glimpse into how beautiful your life is.
If you’d like to hang out and have some fun shoot me an email and we’ll get together. Who knows, we might get some pretty rockin’ pictures while we’re at it. The best part is you’ll see how beautiful you are – through my eyes.

Meghan, your photography work is awesome! You are definitely blessed with a special talent of capturing the inner spirit of your subject. One can sense the movement and feel the excitment when viewing the picture. I have included my husband’s website where some of my vacation pictures are displayed. I might have a better chance with landscape than people photography!! Blessings to you!
Your photography is some of the best I’ve ever seen, especially in the aspect of capturing the essence of your subjects’ personalities. After a “life event” has passed the only tangible we have left is photographs and you obviously have a gift for “freezing” those important moments. I particularly appreciate your candid shots whether of a child at play, a teenager at the beach or a bride on the most important day of her life. I will heartily recommend you for any occasion big or small.
You are gorgeous and so is your photography. Well done! Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve…
I literally just looked at and read just about everything on here…truly fascinating and impressive. Really enjoyed it…you’re so freaking talented!
Love your blog Meghan!
How can I get Better at my Craft ?
You Must be equipped with really costly equipment .
How long did it take you to get to this point in your life?
Tiago,
I do have nice equipment but you can really get great pictures from less expensive cameras if you know how to use them. I’m celebrating my 5 year anniversary this month. It’s been a longer than I would have hoped journey but I’ve enjoyed every step. Good luck and keep shooting!
Thanks so much for you inquiry and kind words about my work. How to get better at your craft?…practice, practice, practice. If you’re not already shooting on Manual I HIGHLY recommend you switch that camera to M.

Hi Meghan, I just viewed the slide show of Ruth’s wedding. Great presentation and I loved the music. You are an incredible photographer. Are you the daughter of Roger and Pam? If so, please tell your parents hello and they raised a wonderful person! Oceans of Joy as You Journey through Life, Diane Harnisch
Hi Diane,
I am the Meghan Stewart of Roger and Pam Stewart. It was a total surprise to get a call from Ruth to photograph her wedding. She didn’t know it was me when she contacted me but I two and two together and I got to be at her wedding all these years later. It was wonderful. Thank you also for your kind words about my work. I feel completely blessed to be doing something I love and enjoy so much.
I’ll be sure to tell mom and dad you said hello. Thanks for leaving me a note to let me know you were here. Blessings, Meghan
Hi Megan,
I just read your touching tribute about Naomi. She was the photographer for our wedding 5 years ago. I had not heard about her fight with cancer and am so sorry for you loss. I was trying to get in touch with her to see if she has our wedding photos archived anywhere. Do you know if anyone has her files? Thanks for any info you might have…not sure who else to contact.
Kursten Blanchard
Hi Kursten,
Thank you so much for your kind words about Naomi. She was wonderful and she is still greatly missed. I do know where her backed up files are and it won’t be too difficult for me to get them for you. If you would just give me your wedding date as well as your husband’s first name I will begin locating them for you. Thanks for contacting me and so happy I can help.
