I had so much fun with Mallory during her senior session. I had photographed her brother 4 years earlier and now it was her turn. She was so at ease and ready to have some fun. I sure do love those easy going personality because it somehow reminds me of the beach.
She knew exactly where she wanted to do some of her senior portraits. First, we began at her neighbors historic home in Selma. This house was around during the Civil War and story has it that the owners hid their gold in the great columns out front. It was never found and the enemies walked by it every day in their search for the treasure. So fun, huh?
Anyway, she also began her session in her beautiful French lace dress that her mom made. You guys, her mom made this dress! I love how this senior class has decided to wear these beautiful, Southern dresses this year for graduation! In contrast, I hated wearing them as a child but now I’d totally be down to dress up in one!
Mallory proclaims to be weird and ready for any adventure. That is girl after my own heart! Hence, little things like a trip to McDonalds with her friends is an exciting time she won’t pass up. She loves her family dearly but also loves being the baby. . .hello alone time with mom and dad!
Finally, she’ll be headed off to Mississippi State to begin her college career. Unfortunately, she’ll be leaving behind all of her friends but she’s excited to have her big sister there for support and guidance. Certainly she is a family girl!
Like Mallory, I also hope she never loses that fun loving, easy going personality of hers. Hold on to it girl! You are an atmosphere changer so you shine bright and set the tone for your life every day! I’m excited to hear about all that you do in this great life of yours!
