I think any teenager that gets up for a sunrise senior session is awesome! I mean how terrible to be a teenager and get up early on your one day off?! Well, Carrie did it and she was such a great sport about it.
We met as the sun came up over the Alabama River on the coldest morning of the year thus far. I think it was great that we had different locations in mind so we could warm up in our cars from time to time. Like I said, a real trooper!
I took pictures of Carrie when she was in the 9th grade I believe in her dance costumes. We had so much fun! She still loves dance so we did a few of those, embraced her love of fun earrings, played a little at butterfly park and just plain had a good time!
I always give my seniors questionnaires to fill out so I can better tell their stories. The one answer on Carrie’s questionnaire that stood out to me was that “she always defends what she believes to be right”. Love love love it! Maybe a lawyer in the making? No but for real, I think it’s so important to believe in something and really stand up for it. I’m so glad she learned that early on and pray she’ll hold tight to that.
Carrie, beautiful girl, you go into this great big world and you paint it. You paint it the colors of love and truth. You be you and show people truth and inspire them to be better. I pray you have so much fun as you wrap up senior year and begin a new journey of life.
