I love that moving to the Atlanta area has allowed me to photograph the full Porter family twice now! Aren’t they a good looking crowd!
This year we met at Lake Oconee at a beautiful home right on a little inlet. Tina invited Violet and I down for the day to enjoy the pool and perhaps a little cruise around the lake. Unfortunately, I had too many things to do at home so we couldn’t make the cruise but we sure did enjoy our pool time and all the fun rafts.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the clients that I’ve been photographing for years. They mean the world to me and have helped me be who I am today. I know that sounds strange but knowing that people trust me with their memories builds my confidence. Of course, the Porters are one such family.
Simply the fact that Tina invited us to spend the day with them on their vacation says a lot. Naturally, you want your vacation to be quiet and relaxed. Inviting in friends isn’t always that way. We aren’t just shoot and move on type of friends anymore. We’re comfortable enough to spend time together outside of a photo shoot. We’re invested in the good of one another. I love their restaurants in Florida and so enjoy seeing them succeed! Likewise, Tina reached out with advice on my more recent health issues. It’s care like that that makes you know someone thinks of you and cares. I’m so thankful for their friendship!
Anyway, the full Porter clan is just as kind and thoughtful. As is usual, everyone looked great, colors coordinated well, and most everyone was on time… wink wink. It was such a great time and I hope to see them again on another of their family vacations!
