I met Jamila when I did some still photography for a friend who is producing a movie. Jamila was an extra in the film and we got to talking one day about what I do and her need for new head shots. A few weeks after the filming I got a call from her and we planned a day to do some updated shots for her. She came to the house for these since she wanted a mix of natural outdoor photos and studio shots. Well, I’m pretty pleased with how they turned!
During the filming I overheard her saying she had written some things and was hoping to produce one day. I needed to hear more about this since I’m intrigued by the writing process and the movie industry. She’s written a couple of movies with the latest being a silent film. How cool is that! She’s also got some pretty cool music ideas for it as well. I won’t tell you want it’s about but the concept is pretty dear to my heart and of course the creative side gets me too.
We had such a great time and it was pretty nice to hear how much she liked our style and home. I’m pretty confident she would have moved right in if she could. I think we’ll have a few hang outs in the back yard around the fire pit and grill talking and dreaming from our creative imagination.
Jamila, Thank you so much for coming to hang out with me and letting me take your picture! You are such a joy to be with and you and your guys will for sure have to come hang out with Gabe and I some time. I’m so proud of all you’re doing and dreaming about. Keep going for your dreams, my dear!
You guys, that laugh! I love it! That is a girl who enjoys life!
