This man right here is a good man. He’s my family, my friend, and (he’ll hate this) but one of my pastors and I’m honored to know him. He believes in everyone! He is merciful & just. He is kind & tender. He has a huge heart for his city & does what he can to make it better. He loves the Lord with all his heart & longs to see people know that love & freedom found in Christ alone.
One day he spoke about how he likes to go for walks in the morning with his dogs & pray. The way he described it sounded heavenly with morning dew & sun dancing in the morning & I longed to document such a moment for him. In the summer when the water is high & the battle field is overgrown he walks the creek down to the Alabama River. This day we didn’t do any praying but we had fun catching up & watching Sam enjoy his time in the water leaping after his “toy”.
I’m not a dog person really but more of a cat lady (NOT A CRAZY CAT LADY THOUGH). But I think we all, no matter what type of animal we love, know the value & love of pet. They aren’t just there to take care of but they somehow take care of us as well. They greet us at the door excited to have us home, comfort us when we are sad, play when we’re excited, & are a constant companion. Sam is an awesome dog & he’s definitely one of the family!
