Sessions like these are like a breathe of fresh spring air to me. Being a “creative” is a wonderful thing but running your own business can sometimes make those creative juices feel paralyzed. We shoot the same things, we’re stuck behind a computer hours on end, & then let’s not even talk about all the business things that go on behind the scenes. So, when AC Reeves asked me to come photograph some of her new felted wool & silk creations as well as some fun beads for Queen City Market I was excited, but then I heard we had a ballerina involved & I got super ecstatic! Jane Ann was a trooper & braved the cold, winter temperatures & pulled it off like a rockstar. After shooting something a bit out of the ordinary, my creative juices started flowing again & I can’t wait to plan another fun session with Jane Ann.
Let’s just talk a minute about these scarves. AC is an amazing artist. I admire her so much & the way creativity just flows out of every pore of her being. It seems like she always has something new to share. I’ve admired her scarves for some time now but these are an all together new & unique item. Each piece is unique unto itself & you’ll be the only one wearing something like it. Throughout the session I was wondering how I could incorporate the etherial white one into my wedding day. If you’d like more information on where you can find these gorgeous scarves or the super cool African beads be sure to stop in at Queen City Market every Thursday, Friday, & Saturday.
